Why a new edition of this book? Because there have been many new treatments that have and will shortly become available. I felt that the psoriasis patient needed to have this latest information and encouragement about progress in treating and understanding their disease.
Psoriasis has been recognized for centuries and it is likely that numerous disfiguring diseases, e.g. leprosy, have been confused with psoriasis. An early 1800s lithograph seen shows a medical artist’s accurate picture of psoriasis at that time.
